Just picked up a Burgman 125 on the deal Suzuki is running until the 16th of December 2024 for £2199 out the door, very happy with it at that price.

I'd say Sym or Piaggio is the best one because they have ABS on top of already good quality.

I completely agree with your top choice scooter, the Yamaha RayZr, I had to because I just bought one! Only done a few miles so far but everything seems ok and I am happy with my purchase

There are some very important considerations in choosing a scooter that are not mentioned here. If you need to remove a wheel to replace or repair the tyre, how straightforward is this? On many scooters you have to remove the exhaust system before you can remove the rear wheel. Often the studs attaching this to the engine have rusted in place so they break when you try to undo them, and you end up having to dismantle half the engine so that you can drill out and re-tap the stud holes. Honourable exception: the Honda Activa, sold in India where it is the biggest-selling scooter, deservedly so (can you buy it in the UK? The price in India is less than £800) You can remove and refit the rear wheel by undoing four nuts, without having to remove any other parts. The front wheel is a bit more complicated but still quite easy.

Yep Good choices, I prefer not to buy the newest less than 1 year out .

We're fortunate in South Africa, our new list scooter prices are a steal. E.g. a brand new Suzuki Avenis 125 cost just above £1, 400 (ZAR 32, 850). The SYM Jet-14 200 (carb.) go for around £1, 565...and the SYM Fiddle 150 (carb.) sells for £1, 090. All brand new. Including import duty. Try and beat that. Even my mate teaching in Thailand tells me that's relatively cheap. Mountain bikes are more expensive.

Good we all like top tens of anything especially if we own one of them...and consequently disappointed if not at top. Hence Suzuki address is fantastic looking classic but not trying to hard machine. I do 70 miles on mine and stick in two liters of go go juice. Liberty will not do that. Even tho its a pretty big wheel scooter not a word associated with the type. No getting away from it address is a commuter scoot..but bland it certainly is not.I love the flat spacious floor and the engine is sublime piece of Japanese engineering. That razor will appeal more to young if they know what a razor is! And i have written a review for mcn if you want to know more.
