Completely reimagined for 2022, the all-new LX600 represents the next chapter of flagship luxury. We also like the twin-turbo 3.4-liter V-6's 409 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque, which is 26 more ponies and 76 pound-feet than the 5.7-liter V-8 it replaces. Because of peak torque arriving 1600 rpm earlier and more progressive throttle tip-in, this engine pulls hard but remains smooth, with none of the old powertrain's occasional initial lurching. Gearshifts are smooth, and despite the fact that this is a 10-speed, there is no excessive gear shuffling. Shift paddles are available if you want to select your gear, but they don't seem to be necessary unless you're looking for the best off-road ratio in low range. This engine is also far more economical, with EPA estimates of 19 mpg combined, 17 city, and 22 highway, easily outperforming the previous setup's dismal 14 mpg combined. It can also tow quite a bit, with a new tow rating of 8000 pounds.
