I wanted to touch on the two things I think every Street Fighter 6 player wants in the long run. A sense of direction and an overall goal of consistency in there play. Also I'll never pass up the chance to use a baseball example in a video if I can fit it in somehow lol.

Here comes Capcom’s newest challenger! Street Fighter™ 6 launches worldwide on June 2nd, 2023 and represents the next evolution of the Street Fighter™ series! Street Fighter 6 spans three distinct game modes, including World Tour, Fighting Ground and Battle Hub.

Fear leads to anxiety. Anxiety leads to Anger. Anger leads to suffering.

My fighting game anger comes from failing in scenarios when I knew what to do and failed to do it. If I lacked knowledge I tend to laugh it off and resign myself to absorbing the information that will prevent that situation from repeating itself.

This video made me really happy that you are making so much progress in your own thought process and self analysis. It's inspiring to work on their own issues by any means. And that's not on fighting games alone. It's just a general thing to do. You are truly on an amazing road dear.

I've also encountered those issues and sadly I'm that kind of person which goes under the line "The words of the prophets have no value in their own land". I'm a super supportive person but I can't apply the ideas and support on others to myself. Therefor it's not exactly my self esteem which is very low and rather my self worth. This is especially true for fighting games. I always have those common lines in my head when I reach a certain thing. Lines like:

"Oh I was just lucky", "Oh I play a way too easy character", "Oh I actually don't belong there, I should be way more lower rank/level" etc.

In a twist. My friends really come at me and tell me how friggin' good I am in this and that but I can't really believe it. For me it's still a "minor" thing that (just an example) I defeated Malenia in Elden Ring in just 3 tries. Although the entire youtube is full of "failing people", I still don't see this as a big thing I achieved.

And this "mindset" is probably a thing which really holds me back. It gives me anxiety in two perspectives. Like: "I'm not good enough" aaand "When I not perform like others are expecting, they lose trust and when they lose trust, I can't support them anymore, which I want". So yeah. Loads of weird "thought" processes.

And this "fear" led myself to be extremely undecisive in terms of "Who is going to be my main?". It's not like I dislike characters but I just "soak" all characters I enjoy in and end with more than 4-5 even more characters I play. And you know what happens if you do it like that. You improve on a general understanding in the game BUT you don't specialise enough and you just hit a brick wall in your mind which stops you once again.

So seeing you not only identifying your things but also getting solutions which actually work, is such an inspiring thing. I really hope that the final "click" in my head will happen and I can really start the journey on my own because following yours is just one of (if not the) most inspiring thing I've ever done on youtube. Thank you for that. Thank you for allowing me to follow that journey.

It never even clicked with me. We've played eachother several times in ranked! (Jangofeet / Cammy / Plat 5) I didn't recognize the name!

Baseball's such a beautiful game. I understand why people don't get it, but if you *do* get it, or learn to get it, there's nothing like it.

SF6 has made it clear that ranked was what was really holding me back from playing a lot of matches and taking the L's trying to learn. I get too invested in each match and the losses make me feel like crap and not want to rematch.

In the battle hub I've played so many long sets because I don't care about how much I lose if I can slowly work my way into a matchup and do better. I have about 5 hours in ranked spread between 7/8 characters but 63 hours in battle hub, The majority of that time has been with Lily. The more talk there is about her being weak or unpopular the more I double down on playing her. It's tough learning the game with a character with weak defensive options but when she gets her offence rolling she can delete you fast.

Been having similar issue/fears, stacked on top of wanting to continue doing well at locals, but feeling like I'm putting too much time into the game and ignoring other things I want to do because I "don't want to get worse than the other players who are working hard". Having a concise gameplan/training plan has been great, like you said, in that regard. I only played 16 games today but I feel like I learned more in those games than I do in an entire night of ranked some days. Think everyone is pretty unique in regards to what works for them for improving.
