Join me on a walking tour of Bleecker Street which runs through the West Village and Greenwich Village, extending from Bowery in the east to Hudson in the west. Bleecker Street is well-known for its cultural significance, particularly in the areas of music, art, and literature. In the 1960s, it was a hub for folk and rock musicians, with iconic venues like The Bitter End, where artists like Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, and Neil Young performed. Today, Bleecker Street continues to be a center of nightlife, lined with music clubs, restaurants, and unique shops, making it a popular destination for locals and tourists alike.

I moved to Long Island in 2009. Back then there was a small sushi bar on the corner of McDougal and Bleecker. I think the place there now is called Figo il Gelato italano. Me and my wife would go there every Friday night then walk this area. Then one day they were closed... We've moved back to Florida but i sorely miss those Friday evenings in this part of the city.
