The way Roxanne Perez always clings tightly to her championship belt is such a beautiful bit of nonverbal acting, and I'm surprised more people don't talk about it. It shows that no matter what she says or how well she performs, Roxy is insecure. She always complains about not getting enough respect because she can't avoid showing weakness when she isn't able to physically, actively outmaneuver her opponents in the ring.

So she instinctively clings to her belt even during a backstage interview because she is terrified at the thought of losing the only thing she thinks people respect her for. (In kayfabe.)
