My 95 year old uncle just bought a Tesla Model 3, his first electric car. The first thing he did as he pulled out of the Loveland Tesla store was to floor it! And darn it, after a week he still hasn’t allowed me to drive the car! He says the car has been the biggest thrill in his life!

What a nice guy!! He was definitely honest in the interview. Roman’s knowledge of EVs was definitely key to this being a very good interview. Well done Roman & the TFL team!

Tesla = easy target for ‘comment haters’ but we should remember this is a US/American car. Conceived here. Designed here. Engineered here. Manufactured here. Luv it or hate it, have to admit, it’s purdy darn sweet that we’re kickin’ world’s arse right now in ev tech. Tesla, Rivian, Lucid all exceed the performance/metrics of foreign ev’s atm. Thanks 4 sharing the car Chris & TFL, enjoy.

As a 2021 model s LR owner, this is the most unbiased review I have seen so far. Good job!

Observations from my ownership:
1. New track mode fixes handling and brakes
2. Yoke is fine and helps steady the car especially on the road with acceleration. It also has cool functionality and offers and unobstructed view of the dash. On a road track it’s not as good but overall I like it .
3. The car was governed at 163mph but will now do ~172mpg gps verified since track update . The car can easily do 200mph in terms of power.

This was some quality video!!! Real life review of the Tesla Model S Plaid. Such video's just don't exist much nowadays, I guess cause car reviewers are bound by some contract and shit or something when they review cars!!! I liked this episode a LOT!!! Thank you Roman and Roman the 2nd :D

I had a 1991 C4 ZR-1 built by Haibeck (500 HP) and I would have been put to shame. The plaid is awesome, but I still love the feel and sound of an internal combustion engine, naturally aspirated or not. I know eclectic is the way we are going, I embrace it, but I hope I can keep my old cars. Thanks for the video!

You can get an aftermarket tow hitch as well as ceramic breaks. You can also get an aftermarket steering wheel and alternate yokes online some are pretty nice. Same with upgrading model Y & 3 to yoke.

So, the S is a beast but the 3 has fun personality. I love how he put it.

I have FSD beta on both of my cars. It's awesome, but yes you have to supervise it.

I am all for autonomous driving, but I have to say it is really scary when the car does something it ought not to be doing. My grandparents have a 2021 Buick Enclave Avenir. It has lane keep assistance. First, I understand that the lane assistance is just an assistance program, I don't rely on it. But, frequently, when you pop over a hill, the car will all of a sudden jerk to one side really hard. That type of autonomous mistake really bothers me. That is scary when the car does something out of the blue when you think you are in total control.

Funny how Ferrari owners don’t complain about the controls on the steering wheel, but people who drive fords and Toyotas do. The yoke is a great change of pace. The owner should make an appointment with Tesla to have the hood adjusted and the rattling checked. Didn’t hear rattling in the video. Great to have that plaid badge. Those were limited to a small number of cars. Definitely a fun car to drive and a pleasure to own.

Roman…Autopilot = adaptive cruise control. Full Self Driving = Full Self Driving 😉
Plaid is currently limited to 164 mph. Generally, it’s a safe bet to just go with what a Plaid owner says. After all….that’s the fun of owning one.

There are certain stretches of the German Autobahn that have no speed limits. If you want to go 200 mph+, you can...

Two issues you mentioned:
- Bad on Twists: This should be fixed via Track Mode, which was released today.
- Shadow Braking: Tesla will be release v 11 FSD, in about 5 months, it will be a "single stack" for FSD & AP, & solve the phantom braking.

I love these real world, real owner reviews; they really come across as honest and unbiased. This tesla review was no different. With several so called "professional" reviews, they spend a lot of time giggling at the speed and then mention childish gimmicks like fart mode 🙄.
This Plaid model is undoubtedly a ridiculously fast car, but doesn't seem like an overall great vehicle.
