The revisionism on CR7 is actually incredible, let’s recap his achievements shall we:
- Ballon D’or winner
- Nominated for the Ballon D’or for 5 of his 6 seasons with Man United, highlighting both quality and longevity
- 3 x Premier Leagues, 1 x FA Cup, 2 x League Cup, 1 x Champions League (nearly back to back doubles), Club World Cup

He joined United at 18 during a rebuild, when it was said their era was over and it was Chelsea/Arsenal who would dominate moving forward. Salah joined the league in his prime, in a Liverpool team in the ascendancy.

Now if we simply look at them as players, United CR7 is a much more complete player. He was the best dribbler in the league, the most skillful player in the league, the best free kick taker in the league, and undoubtedly the best player. He also had a stronger weak foot than Salah, was better in the air and better at penalties. The only thing Salah has on him is G/A ratio, which is because he was in his peak the entire time and played further forward for longer.

His Madrid peak is irrelevant - looking at his alone, he is undoubtedly in his team and it’s not a debate.

And I say this as someone who thinks Salah is easily the 2nd best winger in prem history

Kevin De Bruyne is being penalised for being an incredible athlete is what Rory's seemingly saying. He has all the technical ability on the ball that those players he prefers, but he's such a phenomenal athlete in transition and on the ball when driving that he appears to be "less pleasing on the eye". He's got every right to be in the discussion for an all time Prem 11 and I also think although he may not get ahead of Rio for me, VVD has a case to be in an all time 11 too
