The reason why you shouldn't use this in place of hot air de-soldering, is because you will overheat the component package more than the component legs. The black surface on semiconductor packages is there to transmit and absorb infrared. Using light to de-solder or re-solder components is not a good idea, thats why we use hot air, because it quickly heats the metal legs but is very slow at heating the component package, which is what you want.

Плохая идея. Конечно есть инфракрасные паяльные станции и они неплохо работают, но там серьёзно контролируется температура нагрева. А тут никакого контроля нет. Так очень легко перегреть и запузырить плату и пожечь детали.
