Kimberly Cheatle quits Secret Service following harsh scrutiny

Kimberly Cheatle has stepped down from her position as director of the U.S. Secret Service.

The decision comes following a vehement public hearing in which she faced round after round of harsh criticisms from top lawmakers on both sides of the political aisle.

It's a quick aboutturn for the former director, who remained steadfast in her ability to lead the agency despite less than 24 hours ago.

it seems to me that the higher ups just wanted her to take the fall for all of them, this isn't just her incompetency its the organization as a whole that couldn't stop an average guy with a gun.
