So glad I watched this video! I have a Total Gym Fit that I need to close up for a move and have had many spine surgeries, only 5'2 in height so these instructions really helped.

I love your timing with this video. Just last week, I closed my XLS on my thumb for the first time ever. Damn, that was painful ! Let's just say I'm MUCH more careful when closing it from now on.

As at least one other older comment mentioned, if you try and lift it up into the "A-frame" position by grabbing and lifting up by the end of the slider board, the WHOLE PAD can POP OFF and then the whole frame and slider rails DROPS to the floor!!! I just tried following your video and this happened to me and smashed my toe!!! PLEASE take down this video, it's DANGEROUS!!!

I tried your wife’s method on the FIT model and the whole pad popped off, and scared me half to death, lol. I like yours and I go slow. I’m a 64yr old female.

Never had any issues folding or unfolding mine. I'm always careful though because it can be sooo easy to smash your fingers or hands. Not good and no fun. Thanks for the video 👍

I used to have a Total Gym and never really had any issue with folding / unfolding it. Recently purchased a Weider UBW to get back into it and struggle with that one. I can set it up or take it down but the whole procedure seems awkward, at least the way I try and do it.
