I'm a jazz pianist, i do a decent amount of work around my area. I used do alot of "classical playing" and went through all the conservatory through out my years. But now I feel like I've lost my interest in practicing and working on my craft. These performances and your rehearsal videos have shined a light on something that i'm missing. Thank's for sharing all aspects of your Art. I hope that ill see you perform live one day. All the best!

I've heard it been played faster. But I like this version better. So delicately performed. Thank you for sharing with us.

Nailed it. I had to listen to 5 versions and when I heard yours it just felt right. Beautiful :)

Tiffany is way ahead of my limited ability. Her playing inspires me to try harder. Thank you dear girl.

I cried while listening to this. Probably the best interpretation of this piece I have heard.

There's little technical difficulty in this Prelude; the interpretative aspect, however, can be quite a challenge. And you absolutely overcame it (assuming there was any difficulty for you in the first place). Thank you so much for sharing these wonderful performances.

So few get this prelude right in my opinion .Tiffany Poon does.
Some play it like a jolly romp. Others play it far too slow.
The story behind it is key: Chopin wrote it whilst on a Spanish island thinking he was dying. (he recovered and returned home). Rain was falling and he was picturing him in his coffin with rain falling on him.
So it's supposed to be sombre deep and reflecting on one's life abd mortality . But it has to maintain a rhythm of rain falling.
Only 1 other I think has nailed this (deliberate pun) : the player is Madeline somebody (forgot surname). it's played on a Great Courses lecture on best ever piano pieces.
Beautifully played Tiffany Poon. Many have talent but few interpret pieces intelligently.

An interpretation, such as yours, that can draw out, with delicacy and passion - not to mention technical skill - every last drop of emotion and poetry from Chopin’s masterwork, is a true catharsis.

😲 me after the first few notes. There is no artist here, it is the sound of time passing through us. Thank you for this beautiful piece.

finally someone not rushing the hell out of the piece. THANK YOU took me years to find someone other than Vladimir Horowitz who paced it just right

This is an amazing performance by the young pianist Tiffany Poon. So nice, like she and the piano are one soul entwined.

I love this piece of Chopin music. This is the best performance of the music - ever. Done with such style, such commitment, such grace. No one is ever going to best Tiffany Poon in this masterpiece. JRH

Bravo Tiffany. You played it the way it's supposed to be played. Some pianist show off by playing some notes fast. You just nailed it. Thank you for very sweet way of playing it. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Thank you for doing this song justice. I feel like this song is meant to be played slower then most that play it.

So I started playing piano this year (I'm 40). I looked to your videos a lot for inspiration and this one definitely did that. I practice at least an hour a day (I have a very busy professional life), but I hope to one day do pieces like this justice. This was fantastic.
