“I want to leave a lasting legacy to (my daughter), other family members, anybody else watching that no matter what happens to you, you always have a choice on how you respond to it.”

Just one year ago, girl dad and law enforcement officer Tom Szymanski lost the ability to walk and use his arms overnight. He was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

The former collegiate rugby player and CrossFit Level 2 trainer competed at the 2024 Adaptive CrossFit Games in the Minor Neuromuscular Impairment division and placed second overall.
