Motion Paths 2.0: How to Use Easing, Rotation and Curves

Motion Paths enable us to make a Character, a Prop or an imported object move from point A to point B. Until now, in a straight line.

What happened in December 2020 was that Vyond updated their Motion Path functionality. They reintroduced an old feature from the GoAnimate Legacy days; Points.

Points are handles that we can drag that attach to the line that connects point A and B. This means that we can vary that journey with edges, curves, and more.

Rotation allows you to make your object turn clockwise or counterclockwise a number of times—before reaching its end-destination.

Styles lets you choose whether the motion across the Points should be smooth, edgy, or something in between.

Easing is a huge one; it adds acceleration and deacceleration to your Motion Path—giving you a super smooth look and a more realistic feel in your animation videos.

All in all, the update takes Motion Paths from a simple feature to a set of tools, you need to learn and master. Begin with a Motion Path template as your point of departure, then customize it to your needs.

Rued, please help. I am creating a Vyond kinda cartoon. Basically a mansion dancing skeleton scene with a legless skeleton sliding across. the motion of the sliding seems too fast and it's 10 seconds long scene. How long should it be? P.s: I've tried longer scenes motion seems still to fast

Can you pause an intermediate point in a motion path - like a hold keyframe in After Effects?
