Even if the son never walks again he can still have a good life, he can still play sports, go to college, his life isn’t over. Thankfully he was able to walk again, but that’s because of the love and support he got from his mom and sister, the man got exactly what he deserved

Wow, Tom doesn't deserve to be a father to that big family. All to blame his only daughter, to save his brother who was accidentally run over, leaving him disabled. It's good that his ex-wife, Catherine, gave a divorce for the evil that man gave. NO MORE ABUSE IN THE FAMILY!

The father was abusive and left. The father got two biological male heirs but no access to them. This led to his unhappiness in the end. All three children were blessed with a kind and caring mother.

The "dad" was a disgusting human being! He never loved neither one of his kids unconditionally, he cared about his son before he became disabled. At least when Tom walked out the mom and the kids was better off without him, even kept him away from their third kid. While mom got love and appreciation from her kids, Tom got nothing but bad luck.

Tom HAD the perfect family already, but he threw it away of his own free will. Instead of appreciating and caring for the family he already had, Tom neglected and abused them because they weren't his idea of a perfect family. As a result of his conceit and obsession, he lost everyone who would've cared about him and is drowning in his own sorrows, cursing his wife, his children and the world.

How ironic that Tom wanted to have a son so much and gave all of his attention to him, only to later abandon him along with his mother and sister once said son, Geoffrey, got hurt and became disabled 😔

Many things can be forgiven, but a father's betrayal of his own family isn't one of them.
If Tom became a more caring father to both of his children, he wouldn't have ended up alone. But, in the end, he got his just desserts just because he wanted a "healthy" child and had the gall to walk out on his disabled son and sick daughter. His heart clearly has no love at all, not for his kids or his wife. The way I see it, he's the one with a crippled soul.

Tom was so selfish and narcissistic. He never cared about his poor daughter, and only cared about his son when he was healthy. Honestly, Catherine should’ve left him a long time ago. He doesn’t deserve to be a father at all if he’s gonna treat one kid like a prince and the other like less than dirt! 😡
