Hey, Matt. Did you try the boost mode on the g300 vs the 500?

it would have been nice if you showed us the booster mode of the g300 wich gives it 500 watts as well

@mattgranger I would think that a light like the G300 would work better than the B500 when mounted on a boom stand as an over head light source as with the controls being on the separate power supply it would make the adjustments to the light power and colour easier without changing the light position
