To the hard working people of the last hard town on earth - Butte Montana.

Song Title: Everything's Changed
Vocals: Lonestar
Words & Music: Larry Boone, Paul Nelson & Richie McDonald
Original Album: Lonely Grill (BNA Records - 1999)

Lyrics:

Funny you should show up after all of these years
Yeah, things sure have changed around here
Seen a lot of strangers since they put that interstate through
No this ain't the same town that we once knew

They put up a plant where we used to park
That old drive-in's a new Wal-Mart
The cafe is closed where our names were carved on that corner booth
Yeah, everything's changed except for the way I feel about you

That westbound to Santa Fe don't stop here anymore
You were one of the last to get on board
That street that we grew up on you wouldn't recognize
Girl nothing's been the same since you said good-bye

They put up a plant where we used to park
That old drive-in's a new Wal-Mart
The cafe is closed where our names were carved on that corner booth
Yeah, everything's changed except for the way I feel about you

They put up a plant where we used to park
That ol' drive-in's a new Wal-Mart
The cafe is closed where our names were carved on that corner booth
Everything's changed except for the way I feel about you

Yeah, everything's changed except for the way I feel about you

Heard this song on a classic country music station in south Virginia yesterday. I hadn't heard it in years! Thank you Jesus.

Greatest thing about Butte, Montana is that me and 3 of my other sisters and brother were born there along with some nephews and nieces. Just kidding. I love Butte. It will always be in my heart. I had the greatest childhood there. Who can ever forget the wonderful Columbia Gardens, and the delicious John's Pork Chop Sandwhich, or the carnival in the summer, and the 4th of July parade. I live and love California now. But Butte is also a part of

So very good to see all these great pics. The '"old girl" looks good, I was there a few months ago and she seems as resilient as ever. The pace and the people... so removed from where I now live. Sad that her sons and daughters had to leave and take root elsewhere. Tap'er light pard!

I live in Thompson Falls Montana. I moved here in 1992 after retiring from US NAVY. The best place I have ever lived.

Thank God the BSB Drive In isn't a Wal-Mart! Proud my hometown has one of the few remaining in the country.

No mistaking this town for anything but Butte. Thank you for the memories that you provided my family, and myself while we called this town home.

Born and raised in Montana! Glad to say, I was born in Butte, raised in Deer Lodge, with a lot of family in Anaconda, Butte, and here in good old Deer Lodge. I don't know how I found this video, though. I was just listening to Say When by the same guys that sing this song, and I prefer the acoustic version. Seems more Butte-ish than the regular version. Thank God for Butte, though! Good people come from Butte ;)

Don't feel alone ... our old drive IS a new Walmart ... and they left the actual drive in marque there! Howdy from Topeka, Kansas :)

I’ve always loved this song but I never knew it was about Butte. Just so happens I’m in town tonight and I’m going to sing for sure!

Grew up there and joined the Army when I was 17. Butte was a great place to grow up as a kid. Hunting, fishing, camping, and cross-country skiing. In 1980 the economy was in the pits(literally)!

I live in Victoria, BC now and wouldn't leave it!

Love this song, but the wonderful memories of things I wish I could change. Reminds me of me and my 1st TRUE Love growing up in austin, Tx. when
austin, Tx. was a great big, small town. Wish I could go back. Roger Crowder in Burnet, Tx. thank you for the post
