CC and the Fever are my home wnba team (I live in Indiana). CC fans have been called horrible names by the league because we aren’t quiet about the poor refs, no calls, and that she received almost 19% of the flagrant fouls this year. I’m hoping rest will give our team a chance to heal and set us up for success when the league starts back. Hoping the Fever will pick up Sabally and Nneka as free agents, keep Kelsey, and let go of a few low performers. The new front office appointments are exciting.

NO, Sadly the WNBA has not welcomed her, they have in fact done everything to diminish her accomplishments both on and off the court. 17% of all technical fouls were on Clark; 80% of those from one team; that is not counting the amount of technical fouls not even called when they occurred; serious ones such as being poked in the eye making her have a black eye for the second half of the game. Some of the WNBA and some of the players have accused her actual fans thus her of racism; regardless of how many times Clark has condemned the ONLINE haltered when prompted; the WNBA and some of the players have lumped the majority of actual fans with online trolls. Prior to Clark the WNBA had very few fans. Even a team co-owner has said "they are not like us" referring to the Clark fans. The viewership numbers have dropped dramatically due to the WNBA and some of the players who have hinted or said the Clark fans are not wanted or welcome. The real racism is coming from some of her fellow players, who are women of color, 60%, and at least 38% are lesbian; Clark is white and heterosexual. Identity politics are a large part of the WNBA, there is no room for politics in sports. Clark has not thrived because of the WNBA but despite the WNBA and some of its players.

Caitlin Clark proved the WNBA has never been picking the best women players in the country just by all the records she has broken in her rookie year! It has actually been an exclusive girl’s ego club and after almost 2 decades they made the mistake of allowing Clark in, thinking they would put her in her place! Now that Clark exposed their exclusivity in players the head office wants to dilute the league by scattering the players with two more teams just to reshuffle the players in an attempt to stop Clark from winning games to discredit her abilities on a losing team! The NBA’s who finances the WNBA has to step in and put a stop to the front office who has allowed this disrespect of the game to happen and force a new hand picked unbiased leadership in the WNBA to take over. When that happens we will see a dramatic change in the professionalism and sportsmanship of women’s basketball, while at the same time create an excitement for women’s sports the fans will respond to, just as we see in men’s professional sports!
