I would like to add that an alternative to pillaring up and creating a roof so there's a dark area on the ground in which the mushrooms can be planted & grown on, you can use mycelium (if you're on a mushroom island) or much easier, you can use podzol (which is found in megataiga forests, or is produced whenever you grow a 2x2 spruce tree). Both dirt variants will drop as dirt if you don't use a silk touch tool, but podzol can be generated any where as long as you have access to 4 spruce saplings to make a 4x4 spruce tree.

With podzol or mycelium, you can grow mushrooms on them at any light level, meaning you don't have to worry about building a roof to make the ground dark.

You can also use a lightning rod if you don't have a Trident with Channeling to convert the mooshroom.

2:00 Finally find someone making a video stating that saturation suspicious stew is the best food in minecraft. People are just underestimating its power of regenerating health (better than god apples). What's even better is that you can still eat suspicious stew even you are at full hunger. So we can eat it after a golden apple to acquire more advantage when pvping.

i always keep 4 saturation stews on me in case i really need the health. the best part is that you can eat these when full so they're amazing for saturation stacking.

I would just like to add, aside from using lightning, you can also get Brown Mooshrooms through breeding
There's a 1 in 1024 chance that breeding two regular Mooshrooms will spawn a brown one
And there's a 1 in 2 (50%) chance to get it if you breed a regular and a brown one together
I managed to get one using this method

Pro tip: Since 1.17, the easiest way to convert LOTS of Mooshrooms at once is to place a lightning rod in a pen with many of them. The next thunder storm will cause lightning to strike the rod, converting many or all of the Mooshrooms nearby. Just remember to sleep as soon as you hear the lightning strike and remove the rod before the next storm!

Because Saturation is rapidly used to restore HP, and the effect will also instafill your hunger, AND Saturation is faster at healing than the regen effect...
