Via Algarviana Section 7 - Salir - Alte solo 16.2 km hike

The Algarve, Portugal´s most southern region, has a hidden jewel stored far away from the hustle and bustle of its towns and beaches we all love so much.
The Via Algarviana is a long distance route that crosses the entire region from east to west over 300 km´s. It has 14 sections and can be hiked in that many days.
In this video we start at Salir on Thursday July 20th, 2017 afternoon 15:00, and reach Alte the following day at 10 am 16,2 clicks later. From there we cycle all the way back by road. The 32ºC made an "easy" hike rather difficult. It was super important to be carrying my own water.
Alte is an amazing and rather mystical place to visit. It is authentic. It is the Algarve!
Mistakes made/ lessons learnt:
I was cocky and disrespected the weather. I expected it to be hot during the day. Not cold and windy at night.
A long hammock is more comfortable than a short hammock.

The entire movie is shot through the impartial lens of a single GoPro hero 4 silver. I have tried and tried again to break it, to no avail.
