@nsahib12 A bit more tricky. The gradient must be 3 because it is parallel. So y=3x+?
the equation must work for the coordinate (1, 8) so we can substitute this in to the equation with x=1 and y=8 so:
y=3x+?
8=3(1)+?
8=3+?
?=5

so y=3x+5

@DanDanVTD Thanks for the query. The (0, 11) was just a random example. So, IF the line passes through (0, 11), because this is the y-intercept, the equation WOULD be y=3x+11, Alternatively, IF the line passed through (0, 8), say, then the equation WOULD be y=3x+8. Hope this helps.

@FreeKicksPFC Yes, the final y-intercept can be written as a decimal (0.8). You can write these answers as fractions or decimals.
