This is possibly the best tournament recap and game analysis video that I've seen

Hi Eric, thank you for this! Personally, I prefer this format, even though I have to admit, when you play at a tournament, I am always excited to receive a notification of you posting the daily analysis. But in this "mass recap" format you seem more well-rested, and you have analyzed the games in advance, and the flow is great. Thank you for showing your community how to analyze their games and get better ❤

Great content! Slightly unfortunate that the opponents' names and clock times were cut off after the intro. Knowing Eric, he probably noticed it after recording and went "D'oh!"

Your content is really incredible. My daughters wanted to learn chess earlier this year and I’m really grateful for this channel. I’m a pro tour champion in magic, so I game, but had no chess knowledge. I’m at 1500 already, 8yo is mid 700s and 5yo is understanding concepts

Wow, 2hrs of Eric straight and on the main channel. Great binge material!
Also, appreciate the format variation.

Love this format, obviously I enjoy the individual game recaps but I'm sure this was a lot easier for you to sit down and go through all the games together. Some really fun games, Jonathan's commentary was appreciated as always too!

38:08 "Also note the time situation" - I can't, Eric, I just can't

38:07 The time situation cannot be noted because your opponent's clock is cut off from the video

Great to see your content again Eric, you were in my feed every day and i didn't know why not anymore:

Your explanation of pawn H3 was easy following, it's the opponent saying, "I got nothing yet but neither do you, let me see if I can exploit whatever you come up with"

Love your content, you're content becomes my personal coach!

Great video with all the recaps! I hope this was less work than like 9 separate videos. (And selfishly I would love a video like this for the remaining games from Madrid if you have time!)

man youtube is really brutal when you don't keep a tight schedule, the whole channel went down on my list of subs, and this video didn't even show up in my feed since it was uploaded

1:01:20 what if the black bishop sacks on h2 with check? Looks like almost forced take & then if king takes back knight f5 is a fork & wins the rook attacking the queen

Wow, Eric, all your games notated in a study? Very cool! Thank you!

H3. That's some deep prep. He took into account that the move H3 had recently caused you a good deal of discomfort.

You played a good tournament! As someone who tends to tear his hair out when he loses, I appreciate your equanimity and good sportsmanship.

Oh my, this will take me a while. Glad you're back, and hope you're doing fine!

That first London game was super instructive. I feel like I play against black with that exact development but the delay castling to push the h and g pawns is a great plan
