Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge has cautioned Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on giving guarantees without the budget to fulfill them. He advised the Karnataka leader to choose words linked to guarantees very carefully. This comes as the Congress leaders promised iron-clad guarantees ahead of the high-stakes Maharashtra elections. The BJP has hit out at the Congress. Union Minister Prahlad Joshi said Congress makes false promises only to win elections.
