Knowing that the Goggles 2 / Integra is compatible with the Mini 4 Pro (Ocusync 4) tells us that the hardware will be compatible with an 04 Air Unit. Just depends on whether DJI decides to be d-bags and lock out the firmware option or not.

O4 is only compatible with Dji fpv goggles 3 and Dji fpv goggles 3 are only compatible with o4 and Avata 2.

V2 were released alongside with the FPV drone, which seems to be in terms of image transmission performance an O3. So adding support for the O3 on the V2s was probably easy. Now, if they release new goggles with a new dji fpv drone, that'll be a different story.

Basically the integra with the goggles 2 adjustable optics. That’s what I want as a glasses wearer

Also a larger option that allows you to leave your glasses on would be nice

I think DJI kept v2 alive for this reason:
The way DJI has been naming they're goggles is they think of them as having two lines: Camera drones(or consumer) and FPV goggles(only work with fpv drones).
First category consist of first goggles(white) and goggles RE and then goggles 2 and integra. Second category consists of fpv goggles v1 and v2.
If above is correct then v2 is still lates in fpv line. Can we expect v3 goggles? Possible but I doubt it, market may be too small to continue this line.
