I don't struggle with the courts cards, but had a background in astrology before learning the Tarot. I'm also not a beginner, but I believe I can learn from this one, and who doesn't want to be part of the group? I realized early on the gender didn't mean much when I read for women who were the heads of their own households who showed up as kings. Pages don't necessarily mean young people, but more like "little fools" associated with each suit. Knights are most often suitors, and sometimes don't relate to their corresponding element, but are more about the direction they are facing the other cards in the spread or the speed at which they are moving. How to read a court card depends highly on the question you asked. I could go on and on about the court cards, and I get disappointed when I don't see them in a reading. I guess that shows that whether you love them or hate them, this is a good study for you. :-)
