Good luck, and give your son a hug for me. As a parent with a son with a seizure disorder I know the struggle.

Well, at least you faced that chandelier head-on!

If allowed, you need to put up a wall and devide the basement into wash/dryer room and Office.
Don’t forget good ventilation in the basement.
Happy you made it there in one piece.
Don’t go banging your head into more stuff.. The stuff could break you know. 🤓🥰

Welcome to Pa and now you see why I love it here. I am 100% deaf but have a hearing aid that helps me to hear things, 10 yrs ago I had a work injury that put me into a wheelchair when I got here, I got a doctor that said he get me to walk again and not depend on the wheel chair, well I am up and walking but at a slow pace but still need the wheel chair on long trips since my legs and feet still swell up on long trips. Now hopeful; ly your son will get the better treatments he needs now.

So glad to hear that it sounds like your son is going to have a team of doctors that might care as much as you!

Having worked for a company that does water restoration I can say that while having the sump on a battery backup is great, it is highly recommended to dig the hole deeper and have two sumps in case one dies, and to replace them every three years even if they seem to be working because that seems to be the average time they tend to just die.

Speaking for the Pittsburgh area, the doctors and hospitals are terrific. The people are great. Welcome!

Get a water powered backup sump. Trust my it's not a lesson you want to learn the hard way.
Since everything you do daily is in the basement, water powered backup is the way to go.

Can relate to the journals. Not that big of journal but I've seen about 12 doctors an just about 5 of them read my journals. So tiersm to tell the whole same story the same time, taking half of my appointment. Happy for you all.

Welcome to PA brother! I am glad things went well with the Dr. I hope your son gets all the help he needs. I respect you and your wife a lot. It's not easy seeing your kid suffer every day. I can't imagine what you and your wife have to go through each and everyday. Either way I hope things get better. Also PA is nice, but winter is a pain lol.

Watch your head on that beam down there. I'm 6'5" and I know what it's like. All the best to your son and the rest of your family too. Although it nowhere near the extent that you/he has to go through, I do know what it's like to have epilepsy control your life.

Wife and I were watching, and you were talking about weather. Wife goes, " You are in for a treat when winter comes around. That steep hill and ice... you gonna need some good winter coats. Welcome to the north." Congrats on the safe move to PA, from your neighbors here in Ohio.
