Didnt know him and was recently in contact with him about buying wood to make my own barrel system. He seemed to be a legit man and loved watching him teach and show you his process on the video in Organ. Seemed like he would be the woodshop teacher I never had. Calm, a warm sole, measured, and willing to go along with all my/your crazy ideas.

Wow, that's a hard blow. I didn't know him, but certainly knew off him. I don't have any of his products, but will try to procure one. Think we as a community should all do, to honor and support his legacy. Doesn't matter how long the waiting list.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Condolences to his family. He was such a friendly and genuinely nice guy. I ordered a barrel from him, and when he saw I lived a few minutes away he invited me to his shop to check out the process. I wish I had been able to make the time to meet him.
