When you had 10, 13, 11, and 1, left, couldn’t you have taken from the table, a red 10, a black 10 which was before a joker, and add from your rack, the blue 10, for a group set?

Why couldn’t you have not put red 11 down, instead take that red 10, take black 10 that’s before the joker and use your blue 10 for a group set? Am I incorrect on this?
