***Description***

In this project, the system monitors vehicle speed and noise levels by using an ESP32-CAM to capture and record number plates. Speed is measured with two IR sensors, and if a vehicle exceeds the speed limit, a GSM module sends an SMS to the owner with details of the violation. A microphone module detects excessive noise, triggering another SMS if the noise exceeds acceptable levels. The system provides real-time updates and notifications through a 16x2 LCD
Objectives
Number Plate Recognition
To automatically capture and record vehicle number plates using the ESP32-CAM module.
Speed Measurement
To accurately measure vehicle speed using IR sensors and identify case of speeding.
Violation Notification
To automatically generate and send SMS notifications to vehicle owners via GSM if speeding or excessive noise is detected.
Database Management
To Store number plate details and violation records in a database for further processing and review.

***Methodology***

When Arduino initializes and begins executing its code, an ESP32-CAM module continuously scans for vehicle number plates and uses a Python algorithm to store these details in a database. To monitor vehicle speed, two IR sensors positioned at specific distances measure the time taken and distance by the vehicles to pass between them, allowing the system to calculate the speed. If the vehicle exceeds the safety speed value, the system initiates a challan and sends an SMS via a GSM module to the vehicle owner, detailing the number plate and over speeding violation. Simultaneously, a 16x2 LCDs the status of the SMS, the vehicle’s speed and the sound level detected from the vehicle. Additionally, a microphone module detects external sounds, and if the noise exceeds acceptable levels, the system generates another challan and sends an SMS to the vehicle owner, notifying them of the noise violation. This system monitors and enforces speed and noise regulations, providing real-time feedback and notifications. More features related to IOT can also be added in this project.
