As hard it is to watch your baby get hurt, I do believe they learn from the pain, that falling is bad, that certain movements don't work, etc. I think it teaches them how to fall correctly, and eliminating that pain now (when they are still small and flexible and don't get seriously hurt easily from falling while on the floor) could have serious negative effects in their ability to fall well, to balance etc, in the future, potentially causing actual damage (not just a sore mommy's heart).

I feel like if you let your baby progress naturally this product wouldn’t be necessary. Don’t prop your baby up to sit. Give them plenty of floor time and eventually they will learn to get into a sitting position themselves and will be much more stable and self sufficient because they were strong enough to get into that position by themselves. Same with standing and walking. I see parents all the time propping up their kids and holding their hands to help them walk. This makes it so they need you around constantly to prop them up and make sure they don’t fall down. Let your baby learn movement on their own and they won’t need as much spotting

My son learned to climb before walking, he once fell at his daycare from the height of a toddler chair, bit his tongue, i took him to the ER, and they saw no reason to do any imaging as he was acting normal, no blood from the ears and his eyes were normal. He did have a big bump and the day care felt very bad. But these things happen. He did learn not to stand on the chairs and the daycare kept him off of things no more accidents.

My oldest was only 6 months old when he started cruising the furniture. He used to fall backwards like a tree on a regular basis. I used to follow him around with a pillow. lol

Not for nothing, but kids have been falling while learning to walk since we went bipedal. This product looks like a cash grab while playing to parental fears.

They have ones that are more like a backpack and the strap is down on the chest not close to the neck. This particular one is not good. 😮

Why does it look like someone pushed that baby down and edited themselves out.

Omg Im SOOOO glad i never bought one of these (just because i was being cheep) because im not going to lie i was definitely looking at them to get one for my son because hes always hitting his head even purposely. The way u explain everything is really opening my mind to all the stuff i would have never thought of! U think its something that would help your baby if they fall but your totally right about getting strangled! Never would have thought of that part of it!!

What I wanna know is out of all the species in the animal kingdom we got stuck with the babies that seem to actively find ways to unalive themselves 😭 and they’re like that for YEARS how did we ever survive as a species up until this point?

I would never have something secured around a baby's neck like that. This sounds like a laziness product, honestly. Like people don't want to go through the work of keeping the baby propped up and secured. If you really wanted to make a product that protects a baby's head, make a padded hat or something. Or just be attentive when s/he's not laying down.

I clicked on your video on my homepage. I thought what craziness am i looking at. Then i find out its something you can buy.

Absolutely not good product idea because babys head is in an unnatural position when it hits floor.

You should be watching baby, or have baby in a safe p lace where they dont fall.

There is a reason that all of my neckties are clip-ons.

I swear with each generation we become just a teensy bit dumber. Let children explore their surroundings and learn from their environment. I fell numerous times out of my crib. It’s fine. I’ve seen babies fall off a changing table or bed or sofa. Again, they’re fine. A tumble from standing on the ground will definitely be okay. Plus, they need to learn to balance on their own and having a backpack on their back probably isn’t helping them learn to maneuver. Babies have extra fat in their bodies and they heal from wounds rather quickly. They’re built tough.

Maybe show more of what the heck you’re talking about or even a still picture for better understanding
