I'm 80 years old so I was a teenager/young adult during this era. I miss it those days in some ways, but I wouldn't go back for love nor money. I'm looking for Jesus AND He is gonna come get me and take me to my Forever Home.

I'm 78 and I'm so fortunate to have lived thru this fantastic musical era--I feel sorry for the younger generation--they have no idea of what they missed !!

This song reminds me of the movie The Sandlot. I was born in the late 80's but this music is just so timeless. Almost 34 and I still love these classic hits from the late 50's/early 60's.

When this tune was first played in Philadelphia back in 1959, a local DJ on WDAS, Georgie Woods played it about 10 times in a row. He was was stunned by the Drifters performance. I agreed . The tympani drums, the strings, the haunting plaintive chanting of Ben E King was something I had never heard before in my 15 years. I feel the same today approaching my 80th birthday.

A tear forms in my eyes, an amazing era, the 50s, 60s. I'll be 83 soon, the pop music of the time was so amazing.

I was 18yo in 1959 in the Army stationed in Toul, France but TDY in Verdun on the TASCOM boxing team. I was in a bar late one Saturday night staring at my last 100 Francs (25 cents). I had a critical choice to make; get one last beer OR listen to the newly-arrived, There Goes My Baby, one more time. The Drifters won!!

This was my Dad's favorite song. I let everyone that said there goodbyes know it as well during my speech. I'm fortunate in this life to be raised knowing and loving his music, music that I continue to listen to even though he is gone. Maybe one day, when it's my turn to go, we can feel the soul of this song together once again. Love you Dad
