You need to own the old and OLED to really experience the difference. For a former old switch owner, the OLED is unique. For my ears, the sound is greatly improved. The size and OLED display is wow. Playing games like vampyr, doom 2016, doom eternal, zombie army trilogy crysis, dying light, world war z etc on the OLED, you will see that the OLED is clearly an upgrade. For anyone who plays more or exclusively handheld, get the OLED and enjoy your money's worth.

My old switch from 2017’s screen has been broken since November of 2019, but I’ve still been able to use it in docked mode. I couldn’t buy a new one during the pandemic because of the scalpers, and because I was broke, so when they announced the OLED a year later, I knew it was perfect for me. I finally bought it 2 days ago and I LOVE it so much!

I used to have a regular switch, but after many hours of playtime it broke down. I picked up an OLED because it was only 50 dollars more. And I have to say, it felt so much better than the regular switch when I bought it, and it still feels great to this day.

I had a 2017 switch v1 and I think the upgrade was well worth it. it upgraded my battery, kickstand, screen size/color, and I got the splatoon 3 edition so I'd say its well worth it.

I have a oled and my friend has a normal one. The screen difference is very good. The coolers are better. And the kickstand is great

I had one of the original switch’s (I mean one from the first couple months it came out) and after almost 5 years I got the oled. I sold my old switch to my brother so I still have access to it. His switch stays at my dad’s house so he can play botw for the 9th time (he plays in his free time) I love the oled switch and it was definitely worth it

I’m a first time switch owner and I asked a guy who seemed to know good amount about switches. He told me that the OLED is a more updated and better quality switch overall. It depends in terms of upgrading from a regular switch model. If you have model one from early on then it may be time to upgrade. Seriously, model one switches have two hours of battery life compared to about five with the more demanding games.

I got the switch oled for my first switch, and I love it! Even tho there isn't that much difference then the original one.

Here's a tip stick with the first model mod it. Get this plug in called Fizeau it changes your screens saturation, contrast and what not makes the older model look really good. And you would've solved not getting an oled saving you $350.
