Disclaimer and a word on integrity: All products I talk about here on L'amour et la Musique are purchased with my own money, unless I explicitly mention that it was given to me either as a "PR sample" (this happens rarely) or gifted to me by friends/subscribers/et cetera. I will ALWAYS be fully transparent about any products given to me for review, that I did not seek out or purchase of my own accord. It is one of the biggest issues I have with YouTube - that many bloggers and YouTubers have just become a means to market products. That's not why I do this. There is a huge difference between giving a rave to a product you researched and hemmed and hawed about spending your own money on, versus something given to you to test out. So, long-winded way of saying: all opinions expressed are entirely my own, and I strongly value honesty and integrity in real life and here on YouTube.

Your manicures are so clean and professional looking and your color choices almost always resonate with me so I would love an updated nail video from you. I just thought I would throw it out there. I recently stopped going to salons to reallocate that budget to weekly chiropractic care so I started doing at home manicures and I'm realizing it's a lot of trial and error, especially with the more natural brands. Also my technique is just... Well, problematic, haha. A comprehensive nail video of your treatments, technique and updated favorite products would be oh so helpful.

I have a small collection myself and I'm definitely going to look into the lilac polish and the pink nude one you mentioned. Before I forget - I love the red bold lip it looks great on you :)

Collection is def smaller than mine! I tend to also not mind when metallic nail polish flakes off. I think because I like antique / distressed metal type finishes it seems less harsh.

For cuticles, what I usually do is use a lotion or moisturizer that I don't use anymore (in my case, a moisturizing creme by Jason that I regretted buying) and leave it on my fingernails for a couple of minutes before doing my nails. I also soak them in warm water for a few minutes, and the cuticles get super soft (and you don't have to buy a specific product for them!) :)

I currently only have one nude nail polish by Zoya... I need a sheer pink and a greige/taupe! I think OPI is three free, not five, but I could be wrong. Great video. :)))

You have so much nail polish! I have binge moments of collecting all kinds of excess stuff, but for some reason nail polish has never been something I've purchased lots of. I usually have one nail polish around, maybe two. I play violin which means my finger nails are always being clipped to the nail bed. Color on my finger nails drives me nuts because it chips no matter what I do! I enjoy going over with a sheer top coat sometimes for some shine, but I still haven't found a great "clean" option.

OPI's "Got the Blues for Red" has been my favorite for my toe nails for years. 7 years probably. Talk about not "branching out." I was going to try to replace it with something a little cleaner like Zoya or Scotch Naturals (are these even cleaner options??) but I can't find a red that is rich enough.

This is about the same size as my nail polish collection.  I really only regularly paint my toes, so it's not an area where I feel the need to accumulate a lot.  Two brands I've been liking recently are Pacifica and Mineral Fusion.  I love that I can find both in stores near me, as picking polish colors online has been hit or miss for me, plus both are under $10 which keeps my wallet happy too!  I have one Sheswai polish and it's pretty, but kind of awful to work with - super fussy and takes hours to dry unless you do the absolute thinnest coats - so it's good to know it's not indicative of the entire line :)

This is huge compared to mine! haha I currently only have three, though I'd love to expand my collection. I'm also curious what you use for a polish remover.

I really love Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream, since I have very dry cuticles, esp in the winter. With regular use, they keep your cuticles well moisturized and soft. HTH!

Love your collection. Opi infinite shine polish is 5 free so I replaced my fave 3 free opi polishes with those as they have the same colors. Top coat and nail polish, NOTHING compares to londontown. They are 9 free. I use their reg top coat and nail hardener as a base for all my polishes. Outstanding. Also we have the same fave colors lol. I also adore lauren b polish.

Definitely small collection!! 😊😊😊 very classic, very you!! But that green polish does not belong!! Toss it! I fixed the Aila polish by dumping 1/3 of it and adding Jenna Hipp's pink lady finger. It made the Aila go from atrocious to fab!! 😜😜😜 it turned into a bright and opaque coral more orangy than pink. Very summer appropriate!!
Most of my nail polishes are Formula X, OPI, and Illamasqua. I have several brands, but I'm switch to cleaner brands because nails are so porous i can't stand the thought of formaldehyde or tuolene absorbing through my nail bed 😱😱😱.
Love the way you look!!! When is that Audrey Hepburn tutorial coming up? 😉

ugh I am totally one of those people that got obsessed with "collecting" nail polish (in my defense I did paint my nails like every 3 days for at least a year) but now it's all sitting in a box in my closet going unused.  This has def. given me the urge to purge *haha* - something I really need to do with all my makeup/beauty stuff (and I NEED to stop buying stuff).  And I def. did the fake nail thing in high school, but I only did it once because I ended up ripping my contact lens with them on : / Also, the color I had on my nails at ANFGB was OPI Pamplona Purple : )

You look very pretty with your hair pulled up.  "A retired woman's track suit in Boca"...too funny!  I wish I could give you some recommendations on nail polish but I rarely have time to do them or sit and have them done and I have more polish bottles than I can ever possibly use.  I can't bear to look in that basket and the ridiculous waste of money on my part.   Like my Oribe products, it's just another thing I should feel guilty about. LOL!!  Thanks for sharing.  xo's

You apply it, push back cuticles, and wash it off.  I think it does a great job!

I kept mine in an ED Box also :o).  I'm pretty classic in my choices as well.  Never did acrylics. No accent nail. No nail art.  Mostly classic cream colors.  But I do depart slightly in that sometimes I wear a Zoya pixie dust, or OPI's "My Favorite Ornament". I think that would be gorgeous on you. Zoya has one identical to it in their pixie dust collection called "Tomoko". I also think "Godiva" (another Zoya Pixie dust) would be nice on you. If you toss your OPI white polish, Godiva might be good replacement for it. Google it and click images to see what it looks like. Also, the pixie dusts last forever and you don't even need a topcoat. Also check out the Zoya "Caitlin", Zoya "Perrie", and from the Zoya Au Naturel collection, you may like "Brigitte", "Ren", "Odette" and "Normani" (similar to OPI's You Don't Know Jacques). Finally, if you are interested in a coral, Zoya has a lovely cream/jelly colour called "Maya".  Your collection is lovely by the way. I enjoyed watching.

Did you end up getting rid of the colours you don't like? Is there a point in keeping things you don't like? Not criticising, just a thought. I'm trying to be "harsher" with myself in terms of keeping things I don't like/don't LOVE, so I understand keeping stuff...but then it just sits there.

Lovely, moderate selection! It boggles my mind why anyone would want to have an extensive collection, it seems so wasteful! <though I do have over 30 lipsticks, ahem> I only have five polishes - 3 reds, 1 pink and 1 bronze and Zoya is my favourite brand. Their polish remover is fantastic too btw. Revlon Vixen (and Cherries in the Snow) was my fave years ago!

I totally recommend pacifica polishes. They claim to be 7 free and the have really great formulas and a decent color range
