I did try baking soda, peanut, sugar, all mix in cornflour...they ate everything and still walking around my kitchen. They've got even bigger and nothing happens to them.
They became even clever with the glue trap.
I really hate them.

1.Powder out Piece of Mosquito coil.
2. Mix baking soda with coil
3.Powder out raw peanut
4. Cut ripe tomato in half and place coil mixture on both pieces .
5. Sprinkle Crushed Peanut over coil & Baking soda.
6. Place in area where rat frequent.
7. I would crushed out a bulb to dust and add to the mixture

not sure why the mosquito coil, baking soda being a base, doesn't need anything to react to acid if it's just the baking soda reaction killing the rodents ( FYI: it explodes their stomachs).

I use a 5 gallon bucket filled with about 2g of water some peanut butter and a soda pop can attached with a piece of metal wire works like a charm 😅
