Haha, seems we have a similar habit x) I also have one or two old mixed sketchbooks that I haven't finished and then like fiveish ones I've dedicated to certain techniques/styles;) Happy to see all your drawings! They are very cool^^. I also am not yet good at creating my own scenes/ideas, but I think that may come with time? If we keep redrawing stuff we like, sooner or later something will stick and then when we'll get bored of looking stuff up we'll suddenly start drawing our own things? Maaaaybe x) Then again, I just do it because it is fun; progress is a side effect, not a goal:)
