This is a fix for systems not using "modern standby". With modern standby enabled systems, the power plans are restricted by default to just balanced (though you can create your own new ones and have "Power mode" options in system/power & battery). You may be able to switch of the "modern standby" in your bios - in which case the power plans should return (and, if not, the powercfg -s commands should bring them back). The missing plans in systems supporting "modern standby" are not symptoms of a problem with your system!

re commented from a different video

I got a fix for anyone struggling with this weird windows 11 power scheme bug, but only works with one at a time for me. I wanted the ultimate plan.
FOLLOW THE STEPS IN THE VIDEO FOR THE ONE YOU WANT

EXAMPLE:

Ultimate Performance

powercfg -duplicatescheme

After entering the command look at these strings of Characters it gives you

EXAMPLE: Power Scheme GUID: (Ultimate Performance)

grab these characters: (THEY WILL BE DIFFERENT FOR EVERYONE MOST LIKELY)

Now enter the same command except exchange -duplicatescheme with -s and with whatever number its gives you in example 2.

Should look like this

powercfg -s

Press enter and be done with it.

ENJOY :D

Notes: Took some examples from other comments and experimented. Without them we would all be lost right now.
If this doesn't work, I'm sorry I got nothing else. May or May not disappear again but should still be active (Probably?)

P.S Changing it to whatever wasn't hidden before and leaving the power options screen will hide it again. save the string of characters or multiple if you change it often in a .txt document

Edit: If enough people request it I will make a video explanation on my channel and maybe help for people with info no one seems to have but me and those who have seen my post. Or any large YouTuber works too.

when trying to load the High Performance, all goes well until I issue the command ">powercfg -import (1)\High performance.pow" I get a message back stating "The scheme could not be imported because a power scheme with the specified GUID already exists." yet when i check for the power plans available, I only see the Balanced Plan offered. what am I missing? is there a way to delete a GUID and reload.

Both methods said they were successful but they actually were not. I still only have balanced available to me.

It didnt update the power options even though the first solution "worked" because in cmd it outputed the id of the power plan just like in your video, but it didnt actually add it to the power options.

hi, if you are reading the comments nothing worked and something was missing, you have a lenovo or omen branded pc, you fell into the trap and you spent days if not weeks consuming content that didn't help you. this kind of videos are capitalizing on the issue by showing a seemingly identical issue with a solution for it by neglecting and avoid talking about the real issue so you keep watching, giving visuals and write comments so their channel grows. the issue is for most people not the one shown in the video, it is instead a company provider issue and is usually fixed (as stated by another commenter, im yet to try this so take this with a grain of salt) by changing either SSD, MOTHERDOARD or BIOS, for example, the lenovo bios is limited and lacks a ton of settings like XMP profile, wich im sure you also can't change

I recently changed from PC to laptop and installed fresh win11 and noticed there’s only balanced power plan + I have issue with putting the laptop into sleep mode! It instantly goes to the lock screen… it’s acer nitro 16-41. Windows is installed on lexar 4tb nvme drive. I never had these issues before!
