Route 1: Manali-Leh highway (Recommended Route)

Route: Manali – Rohtang – Gramphu – Kokhsar – Keylong – Jispa – Darcha – Zingzingbar – Baralacha La – Bharatpur – Sarchu – Gata Loops – Nakee La – Lachulung La – Pang – Tanglang La – Gya – Upshi – Karu – Leh

-Manali (2050 mts): Tourist destination, view of Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal ranges
-Rohtang La (3980 mts) – 53 kms: Pass in Pir Panjal range. Connecting point for Kullu, Lahaul and Spiti Valleys
-Keylong (3348 mts) – 117 kms: Kardang Monastery
-Jispa (3142 mts) – 140 kms: Hotel, Bhaga river and amazing views
-Darcha (3400 mts) – 147 kms: Village, Photographer’s paradise
-Patsio (3820 mts) – 161 kms: Campsite
-Baralach La (4892 mts) – 192 kms: Pass. Connects Lahaul to Ladakh
-Sarchu (4253 mts) – 224 kms: Campsite. Halt point for tourists
-Lachang La (5065 mts) – 277 kms: Pass. Close to Pangong lake
-Pang (4630 mts) – 301 kms: Campsite
-Taglang La (5360 mts) – 365 kms: Pass. Highest point in the trip
-Rumtsey (4325 mts) – 397 kms: Monastery
-Gya (4100 mts) – 403 kms: Historical place
-Hemis (3518 mts) – 426 kms: Monastery
-Thiksey (3370 mts) – 455 kms: Monastery
-Shey (3365mts) – 460 kms: Palace/Monastery

Route: Srinagar – Sonmarg – Zozi La – Drass – Kargil – Mulbek – Lamayaru – Saspol – Leh

-Drass (3033 mts) – 147 kms: Valley
-Kargil (2650 mts) – 204 kms: War Memorial

1. Full Toolkit for Bullet
2. Spare motorcycle key (in case missed in hotel or sites)
3. Spare Chain link
4. Spare Sparkplug
5. Clutch and Accelerator wire
6. Tubeless puncture repair kit for tubeless tyres.
7. Rear tyre tube and tyre irons and valve key for tube type tyres.
8. Foot/electric pump/tyre repair can
9. 500ml engine oil (for engine oil top up)
10. Electrical tape, m-seal and steel wire

For Riders

1. Medical kit for first AID
2. Diamox and medicines for headache, fever, stomach ache, cold and cough syrup.
3. Sunscreen lotion SPF 30 or better from Lotus Herbal
4. Lip balm
5. Mustard oil (Optional)
6. Glucon C or D.(important)
7. Water bottles (2lts for every person)
8. Chocolates, biscuits, almonds, raisins and cashews.
9. Paper soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb and toilet paper.

Riding Gear -

4. Riding jacket or air and water resistant insulated jacket.

I haven’t wrote down how many days im going to stay in which place.

I have planned for 20 day trip.

PTEROL COST IS AROUND 25k and hotel cost is going to be 20k

Tottal cost of petrol and hotel is going to be somewhere around 45k

And add 10k for food it will be 55k
And carry 10 to 15 k extra just in case any emergency.


SO TOTTAL COST WILL BE 55k INCLUDING
(HOTEL, PETROL, FOOD)

AND ONE MORE THING

FUEL COST MIGHT BE DIFFERENT BECAUSE OF FUEL EFFICIENCY OF THEIR BIKE. MY FZS GIVES AVERAGE OF 40 ON HIGHWAY WITH PILLION.

Im going to cover 4500 to 5500 kms Overall.

2 day Srinagar to pahalgam and back to Srinagar
3 day Srinagar to Kargil via sonamarg, zero point and zogila tunnel and drass covering by Kargil
4 Kargil to leh via fatula passes, namkila passes, and lamayuru monastry via leh
5 leh local sight seeing Shanti stupa, tsemo view, leh palace, zoravar ford and hemis monastry .
6 leh to nubra valley via khardungla top and reached beautiful Destinations of hunder where you can see white beautiful sand dunes and enjoy the ride of double ham camel .
7 nubra to turtuk the last villages of India which is just near by Pakistan and you can see the culture of baltistan
8 nubra to pangong lake via shayok river and lots of to Tibetan nomad people .
9 pangong lake to leh via changla passes and lots of spritual monastry like shey, thiktsey, stakna and 3 idiot School.
10 back for your own destination
