All ya'll in the comments talking about Wemby's teammates don't give him the ball enough are interestingly ignoring the fact that Wemby shot the ball the most tonight, he shoots poorly from the field which is not his teammates fault. He's always the tallest player on the court yet hes only shot 50% twice in the 5 games hes played. He shot 28% from the field tonight, 25% last game and 43% the game before. The biggest weakness in his game is the amount of perimeter shots he takes. He's also a poor rebounder for his height. Mutombo was also tall and skinny when he played but was a monster on the boards. Its only 5 games in but Wembys playing style outside of that 38 point game is not impressive.

The issue is not about wemby not having the ball. He's young and he still has a lot to learn. The NBA has hyped him so much that it seems unbelievable that he can be playing and spurs can lose. It even got to a point that it seemed as if no one will be able to shoot over him. And why pass the ball to him every time he asks? What if that's not the best option? People should just let this guy develop naturally instead of expecting him to be a chamberlain-reggie miller-du can-steph Curry all abilities combined player. No player, no matter how talented his is skips all the player development stages just like that. You will still need to gain strength, learn and relearn how to cope under pressure. It's just normal. The season proper has started. The pressure will be much higher. Opponents will learn how to play against him. And he has to cope with that.
