Evolution and Spread of the Most Cooperative and Invasive Species: Us | Curtis Marean

Scientists have identified several milestones in the evolution of the way humans find and consume food: increased meat portions, diet diversity, and the transition to food production. These changes have had far-reaching impacts on biological, behavioral, and culture evolution. In this lecture, Leakey Foundation grantee Curtis Marean argues that a shift toward foraging dense and predictable food resources may have provided the ideal conditions or the evolution of the hyper-cooperative behaviors unique to modern humans.

This is a wonderful lecture/seminar but the audio is so hard to listen to. I do hope a better version will appear. The subject matter is very good & presented in such a clear way.

As mentioned here. Recording ambient audio from the P.A. system is terrible. Record the video and audio direct to a computer. If your A.V. department can't figure that out; I know a few High School dropout Twitch and YouTube streamers that can do that for you.

oh come on, the sound is terrible. It is very easy to tap the sound directly from the microphone (mixer), and never ever something you ought to try to get from the speakers/room.

I could not strain my ears for very long. Love this channel but this was a brain fart by the producers who allowed the poor sound quality.
