There is something about some of the older sports reporters, writers, etc that have an honest, no agenda, serene way about them that the current people just don’t have. Peter King is one of those icons that will be missed because of his refreshing way he reported and commented on football.

Why is the intro music ALWAYS so loud/jarring compared to the volume of the voices? Can you drop it like 3-5db? At least take the edge off.

I miss his Monday columns terribly. I go back a ways, reading him. To Newsday on Long Island and of course Sports Illustrated after that. I’ve followed him everywhere and Mondays aren’t the same.

I wish Peter much health and happiness in his retirement from the grind of reporting and will relish every chance I get to read or watch him.

As A Lifelong Detroit Lions fan I have to agree 💯 with Peter King on Rams QB Matt Stafford going into The HOF. I remember, like it was yesterday, the night that The Lions drafted Matt Stafford no.1 out of Georgia. It took him a couple of injury plagued seasons before he found his footing. After he got bigger, stronger and better players it was on. Then The Lions drafted Megatron. Matt Stafford and Calvin "Megatron"Johnson were must see every single Sunday for years. My buddies and I would call the 4th quarter "Stafford Time" no matter what the score was we ALWAYS thought that he'd make something happen. So many times he did. Of course I was disappointed when The Lions traded Stafford to The Rams but I always liked Jared Goff so that tempered the shock. Looking back I truly believe that trade benefited both teams immensely. Lions GM Brad Holmes built an amazing team with those picks and The Rams won A Super Bowl. So Yes. Stafford should be fitted for one of those Gold Jackets.

I turned 70 in April, and I don’t really understand that mindset of going to bed at 9 PM… I think your health and your longevity, first God, but then it’s about your mindset… I was very ill from 2020 to 2023, I got well and now I’m working because I love what I do… All the hours that are needed… But without a curfew I don’t go to bed at this time I’m gonna die younger 😮 anyway, Godspeed to Peter King!

It's good to see Peter King retired and is finally getting some sleep. So many sports reporters don't know when to call it quits and stay on too long. Also, I read Peter's MMQB and/or FMIA for DECADES and Peter had rock solid morals that permeated my brain he never bragged and would admit it if he was wrong.

Peter also has/had a great, but subtle sense of humor I enjoyed it when he complained about something stupid like mean Tweets and how he got ripped off going to the Atlanta Braves playoffs. I hope he lives into his 90's.

Love Peter King I miss seeing him every week & I read his SI-column for about 15-years but I think it's dumb to sum up 40-years of football with two players. I'll always think of Peyton &how Eli beat Brady or Moss and T.O. We're just suppose to forget about Drew Brees or Adrian Peterson, hell I don't care for either player but Aaron Rodgers &Derick Henry get nothing?? I'm just never gonna be able to simplify the sport like that

Good report. And yes, they should be the Washington Redskins. The new ownership group should just change the name back to the Washington Redskins. I know I’m seeing this like a year out but anyway. Now he should do a story on Jalen Daniels going into his second year. And Adam peters needs to pull the trigger on the trade for Trey Hendrickson from the Bengals. In order for Washington to go to and win Super Bowls in the next one or two or three years they need Trey Hendrickson on the team. Because after three years, Jalen Daniels will be getting a new contract. And did you know Jalen Daniels agent is his mom. Jalen Daniels mom is a certified NFL negotiator. And she is going to be the toughest negotiator one has ever seen in the NFL. You thought Lamar Jackson’s mom was tough. You ain’t seen nothing yet. Wait for Jalen Daniel‘s mom to get at that negotiating table. Hell she will not even let her son who is a grown man Making millions of dollars already talk to girls. Not only is that weird but it’s also very disturbing. But Jalen Daniels can’t even talk to girls. Did you see when he was talking to that pretty basketball player from USC his mom sat in the middle of it that was just flat out weird disturbing. So that being said we need to move fast as the Washington football team and get a Super Bowl or two under our belts. And trading for Trey Hendrickson is the step in the right direction. Because in three years Jaylen Dan’s mom is gonna go ask Forru and get $100 million a year contract. You know it’s coming 80 to 100, 000, 000 a year contract. You know Jaylen Daniels mom is not gonna understand the Tom Brady concept of take little win more Super Bowls. She won’t get that. She will go after every dollar she can get and she’ll get it because Jalen Daniels is going to be great now and Wen Super Bowls now after the hundred million dollar contract we will be a mediocre team just trying to get to the playoffs. Because everyone knows the highest paid quarterbacks don’t go to the Super Bowl but they do go to to the playoffs. But Jaylen, Daniel’s mom she’s gonna get every dollar she can get. So we need to win Super Bowls as Washington football team now especially the young man can’t even talk to girls. He’s gonna implode before he wins anything. He might go crazy. So we need to get Trey Hendrickson on our team now 2025 now and let’s go win Super Bowls before they pay this young quarterback $100 million and send our team into mediocrity. I dont understand why owners get in the hall of fame while they are still owners? I believe players have to be retired so the same requirement should be for the owners.

please quit repeating the narrative that his wife and kids are getting boo'd. No one from Detroit cared about Kelly and the kids being there. They were booing Stafford and the Rams became it was a playoff game. Was literally cheering him and his family during the arams superbowl run. Lazy journalism.
