I’m RH Null and my sister is rh negative and when we got pregnant with our children we had to get shots in our butts. I kept hearing a nurse say I had golden blood and I never understood what she meant so I looked it up later on. My mom said we both got this from our dad and the shots they gave us while pregnant are so our bodies will let us not fight our growing baby.

He was the man who saved the lives of women's babies who were RH- ... such as all 3 of mine. My blood type is A-. I'm RH-. Without this shots, my blood would've killed all 3 of my fetus'.
Why hasn't this man been given a noble peace prize award and EVEN More?!?!

My father had major surgery for cancer and required over 50 units of blood and blood products. I’d been a donor since the age of 17-18 with my parents’ permission. As an adult and ER nurse, I knew how many good people helped my family. After Dad’s surgery, I donated the 50 units of whole blood, enrolled in the Canadian Blood Services platelet and white cell donation programme and replaced all the blood products Dad used. He didn’t survive his ordeal, but I’m hoping my payback routine saved others! I know that my platelets saved a 6 year old girl with leukaemia. Felt good to know I’d made a difference to her and her family. Donate, folks!

“It’s a shame he wasn’t compensated”
This is why god gives certain gifts to specific people, he knows some will give just out the kindness of their heart.

Thank you Sir. I am one of those Aussie’s saved twice by someone special like you. I can’t express in words how grateful I am. Bless you and all the donors like you. 🥰🙏

Compensation would make bad name for his god level generosity.☹️
I would say govt should make James Christopher Harrison award for top 10 yearly blood donors. Thats would honor his name the best.😃

The compensation of donating his blood all these years is knowing he saved 2.4 million people. ❤️

are we just gonna ignore the fact that he just pasted his face onto Dr. House’s face?

As an Australian blood donor, we ARE compensated. We get notifications when our blood has helped heal or saved someone. And that's all the compensation I'll ever need.

Nobody in Australia gets paid for blood or serum donation. You do it because you want to help. Sometimes your work place has a blood drive and those who wish to donate are given time off work to do so. They usually bring the bus to the workplace to make it easier. In smaller cities they park the bus at the local shopping centre

He will have his reward in afterlife for all the good deeds bcoz that all matters.

To receive compensation for a good deed kind of negates the fact of doing the good deed in the first place.

Color me surprised that he lived through his surgery.
Because normally when I hear something that equates to mismatched blood infusion I think death.
