We school year round and do a 4 day week. I don't have a set yearly schedule. We just take days off here and there. We usually don't take multiple weeks off either. I actually tried to take a 2 week break last year, but the kids kept asking when the break was over😆 We thrive on daily rhythms!!! Plus "school" time is heavily influenced by the Charlotte Mason method, so learning is fun! I find we tend to take days off in the spring so I can get my garden in and in the fall, when I need to harvest and preserve. We actually school all Dec and do Christmas Schooling, and they love that. I actually don't use a planner. We just continue on the next pages and end our "lessons" when needed. This is stress free!! We probably do way more school this way than traditional schools, but my kids don't mind. Learning is fun😊

Was just sitting down to plan for next week so this was perfect! My kids have a few activities this time of year so instead of doing our usual 930-1230ish, we may not start until 1230 & go until after 3. Or maybe we have to be somewhere in the afternoon, so we’ll just do a “quick” day & spend an hour reading & writing or playing games. It is SO hard to break out of our own selves, as you said. We begin each school day with reading them a chapter book (we try and finish one per month) & it’s such a beautiful way to start our morning, along with prayer & a verse of scripture. Anyway, thanks for the practical advice!!

Loved the video ! Very helpful ! We do all year schooling with breaks more in better weather seasons. We also do a sort of 4 day schedule ish lol. We are coming out of almost 2 years of survival mode. 3 days a week it’s math, language arts, phonics reading focus, 1 to 2 days is science and history and more in depth Bible focus. My kids have enrichment classes 4 days a week out of the home. So we work around that.

New subscriber here! Love your channel! We also school 4 days a week … 5 kids here… do you have a video sharing what curriculum you use? I’m so inspired that you live in an RV and can’t wait to learn more. We are in a 650 sq ft home… and may want more kiddos… so I always live learning about tiny living :)

That‘s exciting! What activities do the kids do on Friday, is it ice skating?
