“Stuck in space” is an overstatement. They could come down at any time, they’re just inspecting the craft so they can nail it next time. Even so, if they couldn’t undock from the ISS (some people are saying it’s about a 50/50 chance), they could always use SpaceX’s Crew Dragon. Revising with the info from a month after this comment was made, it turns out Boeing had a boeing moment and they can’t return back on starliner, but they’re still in no way stuck in space.
