Honestly the trick is to go as fast as you can while he has animations in between stages. You’d be surprised how much ground you can cover while he’s growling or just doing idle animations in between each section

I discovered a bug that makes this achievement easier. First play through the boss fight once like normal. Then once the fight is done I recommend using a checkpoint somewhere that isn't in Halloween Rock Bottom (for example Mrs. Puff's Boating School in Bikini Bottom). If you fast travel to Bus Stop checkpoint, then quickly pause and fast travel to King Gary checkpoint. King Gary won't spawn but the boss fight will continue anyway, don't be alarmed if you see him in cut-scenes, for some reason he still appears in cut-scenes just not in game-play. Just destroy the vending machines and you'll get the achievement even though King Gary isn't there. If you experience any problems, feel free to ask about them in the replies, I'll help the best I can. (Edit: The first step I added later about fighting King Gary like normal I added later.)
