John Field - Nocturne no. 1 in E Flat Major - Mr Bellicanta: piano

Показать описание
John Field (1782-1837), pupil of Clementi, admired by Chopin, was the creator of the ‘Nocturne’.. ‘..delicate and poetic pieces..’ ‘..wordless love-songs..’ ... so.. this piece kind of represents the birth of the Nocturne as a genre.

... here is my piano, six months from the last tuning, having survived three waves of subzero temperatures interspersed with radical humidity changes.. The use of the sustain pedal reveals the piano's suffering during this winter but I would say.. not too bad Mr Bluthner!

Gosto bastante desta peça afinal de contas não se podemos se esquecer que John Field era conhecido como a pessoa que adotou o noturno como peça específica para piano ☺️ ou seja o noturno acaba por ser a peça mais importante ❤️

Field was not admired enough - history wronged him. Thank you for uploading so sensitively and beautifully one of his nocturnes which Chopin was so much inspired by them. Mr. Bluthner' sound, by the way, was always preferred by me - alongside with my old (not playable now, unfortunately) Hofmann & Czerny Wien. Bravo. Keep going with other Field's nocturnes. Their effect is like pouring fresh water on an aching heart. I'm sharing.

Lovely ! New to me ! Baroque morphs into romantic ! Is this perhaps the musical equivalent of Stawberry Hill Gothick ?

Beautiful, Yuri. Did you follow Liszt's pedaling indications?
