Henry Cavill's Hollywood Story Gets CRAZIER - Superman, The Witcher, Warhammer 40,000 Hit Piece

Henry Cavill has had a tough time in Hollywood. From being the definitive Superman in DC, embodying The Witcher that the fans have loved so much. And indeed even being part of the gamer fan culture himself, everyone wanted Henry Cavill to get more work. But as he resigned from The Witcher, DC promised a return to Superman roles with cameos in Black Adam, until James Gunn changed his mind.

Now as Henry Cavill announces a new Amazon Prime Video series set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, another IP Henry Cavill is a huge fan of we are left with the question. Can Henry Cavill and Amazon make a Warhammer 40k TV series worth watching?

The Henry Cavill story is one I kept wanting to cover but everyday new information came out, who knows where this will end up at this point because it seems like many people are coming out of the woodwork looking to have a crack at him for a bit of extra clout. But with the recent hit piece on him from a podcast, it seems nothing short of laughable to me. I'm cautious about the 40k announcement given the fact that we know what Amazon can do to an IP. But with Cavill linked to it and things like Reacher and Terminal list being quality shows on Amazon Prime Video already, I think there's hope. But what do you think? So, never has Henry, throughout his entire career, been accused of being 'disrespectful' to people or 'difficult' to work with. Quite the opposite in fact, people talked about how easy going, respectful, down to earth, humble and just overall friendly he was to EVERYONE on set. But now, NOW, after someone sees the overwhelming support fans are giving him, someone's ego can't handle it, and so they try and bash his character? Holy wow.. The man has yet to speak ill about ANYONE he worked with on set and kept things both civil AND professional when he departed.

That whole thing sounds like a terribly written fan fiction, and well, from what we've seen thus far, writers today are very skilled in that department.

3-a man as busy as cavill was addicted to video games

4-he told the female writers and showrunner what to write and that was sexist. The showrunner wanted to write a joke scene when roach died and Henry Cavill refused to shoot the scene and rewrote it by quoting the book. HE SHOULD HAVE DONE THIS SOONER.

My guess is that Henry sees all this as a learning experience.
He has gained invaluable insight into the filmmaking process and industry in general.
I have great confidence that he will be able to apply this knowledge to make a Warhammer Universe that rivals, and possibly surpasses, all those that have come before....

I worked with James Gunn as an assistant director on Peacemaker. He is exactly as you’d think. He had crew passing out from heat stroke during the hottest week of British Columbian history and he didn’t bat an eye over it as they were taken to hospital.

I'm happy it has a happy ending at least, with him producing his own Warhammer show. I have no doubt that will be a better fit for him than Superman or Witcher ended up being.
