Bilal, I feel like we might be related lol. I’m Bhatti too.
But to get to the point, yes there is a trick for the roti. It’s in the hand movement, you gotta put a slightly more pressure on one hand then the other when you are rolling the dough. That’s what makes the roti turn round and round. Also have a well floured surface as a beginner so the roti rotates smoothly when you are rolling it. Eventually once you get the hang of the rolling motion and the rotating of the roti down to a science you can start using lesser flour on your work surface.

I was about to make a joke about her saying "slowly" while rolling very quickly, but I think she means slowly apply more pressure. I almost always make the mistake of pressing too hard when rolling out dough and it becomes really uneven. That's good advice to gently press more and more to work the dough instead of forcing it
