Palolem beach, one of Goa's cleanest beaches, is located in the southern region of the island. Its immaculate white sand and bluish-green sea give off a great beach ambiance.

You can choose from a variety of resorts and huts in Palolem. A day at the beach is all you need, and here is a list of things to do while you're there. You can hire a boat from the beach and travel to all the locations listed below. Since there are fewer people, it's highly recommended to go 1 to 2 hours before sunset for the finest experience.

1️⃣ Dolphin Spotting - It’s possible to spot them in the Palolem waters. You will be delighted to see them if you try to go around sunset.
2️⃣ Turtle Rock - There is a turtle-shaped rock, but it can only be viewed from a certain angle. Your "Captain" will help you see it.
3️⃣ Monkey Island - There is an island that you may see while on your boat excursion; it's unclear whether the monkeys still live there, but it does provide a pleasant view.
4️⃣ Butterfly Beach - The view from Butterfly Beach is just breathtaking. It is a small island in the midst of the sea where you can usually find people swimming and taking pictures. When viewed from a distance, the mountains behind the beach resemble a butterfly, hence the name.
5️⃣ Catch The Sunset - Palolem Beach has spectacular sunsets. You are in for a treat, though, if you can arrange a boat ride to Butterfly Beach.
6️⃣ Shopping - There are a lot of gift shops close to Palolem Beach where you can buy refrigerator magnets, dream catchers, etc. All of these are handcrafted and appear lovely.

Couple of Recommendations

1️⃣ Cola Beach for Kayaking - When you're close to Palolem, you must go to Cola Beach to go kayaking in the inland waters. For 30 minutes, it costs about 200 Rs. per person. Use your negotiation abilities wisely because they even go down to 100 Rs per person.
2️⃣ Cabo De Rama Fort - Just towards the right hand side from the fort there is a platform where you can get a Panoramic view of the entire fort and the sea. You’ll thank us!
3️⃣ Galgibaga Beach / Turtle Beach - This is comparable to the last Goan beach before the boundary with Karnataka. You may have a picnic on this beach and even see a turtle hatchery right there. According to the local forest officials, mother turtles lay their eggs in the centre of the beach and transport them to a hatchery where they eventually hatch after 45 to 60 days. When they hatch, the officials gathers the young by whistling near the shore where the mother turtle collects them. Is it Real? Don't worry about it; just go to this fantastic beach! Just so you know, there is a lovely church right before the beach entry.
