I had watched most of your video. I once learned music but never in orchestra. This is the first time I had a proper in depth knowledge about conducting. Thank you, Mr Slatkin. Will watch the other lessons, soon.

Guess another point to mention is to make sure your zipper on your pants is up. Even though your back is to the audience, it might distract the orchestra members and laughing might occur. People always tell me that I should be on a stage. There's one leaving at noon, "BE ON IT" !!!! Thanks Maestro, a great video.

Thank you for this very informative video! Too bad however that the dress code part is mainly directed towards male conductors. What about female conductors?

WOW! I wish that I had something like this available to me when I began my interest in conducting (that was in 1973 where I went to summer music school when I was in the 9th grade)!!!
