This poor girl has had such a hard life and is now in a grueling fight for survival. Left abandoned on an unpaved road in the middle of nowhere, she trembled in fear, malnourished and sick. When we finally found her, we could hardly stand the sight of her suffering. Who could treat a precious, living creature so cruelly?

Eudora, a tiny French Bulldog, was found quivering on a dusty road, far from any sign of life. Her eyes were glazed over with infections, leaving her with limited vision, her world shrouded in darkness. Despite her fear, she walked right up to us, desperate for help. She was starving, her body in deep distress following countless litters. We presumed she was used for breeding and then cast out when she was deemed useless. Instead of getting her the help she needed, her previous owners, if you can even call them that, simply threw her out.

Eudora had been so deeply neglected. Her eyes were clouded and possibly ulcerated or cataract-ridden, and her body was frail, suffering from cachexia, or a dangerous loss in lean body mass. Her coat, or what was left of it, was marred by alopecia, with full patches falling off, and her ears were inflamed with bilateral otitis (ear infection). Her skin bore the brunt of fleas, leaving it red and itchy, trapping her in endless discomfort. We truly don’t understand how anyone had allowed her to get so bad. Hurriedly, we whisked her to our trusted vet clinic, careful not to harm her upon handling. She was so fragile and delicate!

Upon reaching the vet, Eudora underwent comprehensive examinations. Blood work revealed just how malnourished she was. Plans for an ultrasound were set in motion to further assess her internal health. Vets immediately addressed the severe dryness and discharge from her eyes, aptly treating the infection. The vet team began treating her ears and skin, applying soothing ointment and giving her nourishing baths. She is officially on the pathway to recovery, and we are standing by her side every step of the way. But we desperately need your help to fund her ongoing treatment.
