"At least seven people are dead after yet another mass shooting—this one in Half Moon Bay, California, a small town just south of San Francisco.

The shooting occurred around 2:20 p.m. at two separate locations, police said. Four victims were found at a mushroom farm off Highway 92, while two more people were killed at another agricultural facility between one and three miles away. A third victim at this second location was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and later died.

A fourth person there was shot and hospitalized with “life-threatening injuries,” police said.

I couldn't agree more. I retired to Europe (France) 2 months after Trump was elected in 2016 because I could see the direction the country was headed. After living here for 7 years now, I can really see what is wrong with the US... mass shootings, lack of common sense gun controls; the rise of right-wing militia groups, men controlling a woman's reproductive rights, the 1% getting richer every year, corporations treating their employees like slaves, and the ridiculous state of healthcare in the US. Why does one of the richest countries in the world treat the majority of its people like second class citizens? George Carlin said it best :"Governments don't want a population capable of critical thinking, they want obedient workers, people just smart enough to run the machines and just dumb enough to passively accept their situation. You have no choice. You have owners. They own you. They own everything. They own all the important land. They own, and control the corporations. They've long since bought, and paid for the Senate, the Congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pockets and they own all the big media companies, so they control just about all of the news and information you get to hear."

I used to love going on holiday in the US. I even participated in the green card lottery in the 90s. These days I'd rather visit any random 3rd world country and feel safer.

When I was younger, I thought about visiting US or maybe even moving there. I haven't thought like that for years now. I will continue to live in my small town in my small country and go to movie theaters, malls, churches, schools, concerts etc. without fear of being massacred.

I just permanently left the united states last November. This was a HUGE part of why I left.
I'm far safer living on the African continent than in the United States. Esp being a black person.

It's nuts, I'm in New Zealand and see what happens in USA and cannot understand why someone doesn't do anything. Now I get it thanks TYT. I love America and have visited many times, but not now. I have no interest in ever going back cause of how insane it is and all the ppl I talk to they are the same. Your tourist industry must be falling like a rock. Social mobility is actually higher in the “class ridden” U.K. than in America now. The main reason being student debt and medical expenses. In the U.K. if you never reach a certain salary, you never have to pay your “student loans” back, medical bankruptcy in the U.K. does not exist.
